Palm Caye is one of the most beautiful islands in Belize and would be ideal for a private estate. It has natural height, sandy beaches, hundreds of palm trees and is surrounded by crystal clear water filled with breathtaking coral and sea life. The island is located 12 miles east of Placencia and just beyond the South Water Marine Reserve. The island is surveyed at 5.17 acres, not including the 66' perimeter reserve. The island's vegetation is made up nearly a thousand Palm Trees, Gumbo Limbo, Buttonwood, Sea Grape, Noni, Black Mangrove and countless other species. Although somewhat low lying (like all Belizean cayes), this island is made up of a strong coral base and has more height than most; about 3 feet at the highest areas. There is low spot in the center of the island of roughly an acre that may need some filling. But it's not necessary as there is plenty of other high ground. Also, with the abundance of sand around the island, hand filling of this small area would be easy. The rest of the island has a ridge around it that always stays dry.
