Gladden Caye is in one of the most exclusive locations in Belize. Located right near the Gladden Spit that is famous for Whale Shark diving. The island is located 24 miles east of Placencia and just behind the reef so the commute to the island takes about 45 minutes in good conditions and a little longer when the seas are rougher.
This island offering is actually 2 islands in one! Both are small islands with the main island being just under an acre and the second island being roughly a half acre.
The main island has a VERY rudimentary fisherman's cabin on it with some basic infrastructure installed but it's about as rustic as it gets. The island needs a thorough cleaning and once finished could be spectacular.
The lagoon between the two islands is about 6 feet deep with beautiful white sand so the entry to the island is breath taking and will offer plenty of fill material for filling the low spots.
The diving and snorkeling just off shore is world class, it simply doesn't get any better.
