Baker's Rendezvous Caye is the southern portion of a couple of islands in a chain. This island was filled a couple years ago and has really experienced a regrowth of vegetation. It has a nice long waterfront on both the eastern and western sides with some beatiful reef structure along the eastern side of the island. The approach to Baker's Rendezvous is from the west and is rather shallow. The water gets a little deeper once you are about 60 feet from shore and is deep enough for sailboats at about 120 feet out. The waters on the westerns side are well protected and provide a great location for a dock. The small areas between the two major islands is very shallow and nearly impassable at low tide. The island is currently being cleaned up so I will get some more pictures as soon as this is complete. Unfortunately the day we visited, it was raining so the current pictures look a little gloomy. This island has terrific potential and has the benefit of already being filled. Baker's rendezvous is located 11.5 miles NE of Placencia and 11.5 miles SE of Riversdale.
