The Resort Site

The resort site was improved to serve the cruise line industry with a beach break operation and other cruise related excursions. Construction on the facility was done at a very high level with massive timbers connected to a solid concrete foundation and capable of handling tough tropical cyclones. The resort sits on the eastern side of the island facing the reef in a protected cove.
The following structures, constructed of hard wood and thatched
or metal roofing are all well kept and completely operational;
- A 3,000 square foot thatched roof bar raised on piles connected to a concrete foundation. The bar is tastefully landscaped and located just behind the beach
- A huge 4,400 square foot thatch roof Palapa with a sandy floor located just off the kitchen
- A manager's cabana is complete with bath and kitchenette
A 2 bedroom cabana with kitchen living room and large bath can also be used as an office- Public restrooms
- Commercial kitchen
- Various outbuildings and support structures
- Lots of beach Palapas for shady beach lounging
- A well built pier with electric lighting and Palapa

The resort site also has several cleared, filled and ready to develop lots just south of the main resort area.
Coconut palm trees litter the landscape of the resort site. The palms on the island are disease resistant hybrids originally obtained from a nearby island. They now produce so many coconuts on their own that there is an ample supply for additional landscaping right there on the island.
